The Shelby Cobra is a car of legend, and like many legends, its story is made of of heresy, myth, and tall tales. The first cars were built in the back of a hot-rod shop by a gang of talented California racers; no one at the time thought they were making history, and so no one kept a historical record of the goings-on at Shelby American, Inc.
No one, that is, except photographer Dave Friedman.
Friedman worked at Shelby American during the years 1962-1965 as the company and race team photographer, shooting production pictures, advertising photos, progress photos of ongoing projects, the official homologation photos, racing pictures, and more. Shelby Cobra: The Shelby American Original Archives 1962-1965 is a collection of more than 270 photographs, brochures, race programs, posters, and Shelby memorabilia that tells the inside story of how the Shelby team built its production cars and went racing.
This book is from a large private collection and is long out of print. It displays very well and the jacket is in great shape. We ship the continental U.S. 48 states only. Thanks!
